From the Workshop
First, we
listen to the sound.
Then we give it
a voice in wood.
In Arslan Hazreti’s Istanbul workshop, each kamancha is crafted with the character of the selected wood, the finesse of hand craftsmanship and the musician’s needs in mind.
An ear refined over years guides every detail. Each instrument has a voice of its own.

ALER KAMANCHA — HANDCRAFTED KAMANCHAS
Aler Kamancha listens to sound and brings it together with the character of the wood. Our Anatolian, Azerbaijani and frame kamanchas are individually crafted in the workshop, with balanced forms, rich tones and workmanship designed to accompany you for years.
A VOICE THAT DEEPENS WITH TIME
We choose each wood for the way it matures beautifully and allows its voice to open up over time. Properly seasoned timber, carefully balanced body proportions and fine handcrafted details create an instrument to be played for years to come.
FROM WORKSHOP TO STAGE
An Aler Kamancha is a personal journey, from the first sketch in the workshop to the final touch in the musician’s hands. It is made to find its own voice everywhere — from practice at home to performance on stage, from traditional repertoire to new musical explorations.
THE ALER KAMANCHA COMMUNITY
Aler Kamancha brings together musicians who see the kamancha as a living culture and a means of personal expression. Follow us on social media for new creations, workshop news and selected instruments, or contact us directly with your questions.
